Arikok park fees and rules in 2026

Every trip to the Natural Pool goes through Arikok National Park, and the park has its own price list and its own rules. Here is what the Aruba Conservation Foundation charges this season and which tours already cover it.

Arikok National Park covers a big slice of eastern Aruba, and Conchi, the Natural Pool, sits on its rough north-east coast. The park is run by the Aruba Conservation Foundation (ACF), the body that until 2024 was called Fundacion Parke Nacional Aruba. It sets the entrance fee, the visitor center hours and the rules.

This post covers the 2026 figures from ACF's own pages, the vehicle ban that shapes every UTV tour on the island, and which tours on this site add the park fee at check-in.

The quick answer

Adults pay USD 22 for a conservation day pass; children under 17 enter free. Passes are sold at the visitor center. ATVs, UTVs and motorbikes are banned in the park, so UTV tours never drive in. The horseback ride includes the fee; on Viator, the ABC jeep safari and the ABC UTV and jeep combo add $25 per person.

How much is the Arikok National Park entrance fee in 2026?

USD 22 per adult for a conservation day pass. Children under 17 enter free, and residents of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao get a local discount.

The figure comes straight from ACF's experiences page: "Adults: USD22 per person" and "Children (<17): Free", with a local discount for residents of the ABC islands who show a government picture ID. ACF calls the ticket a conservation pass, and its rules sign says a valid one is "required by law to enter the park".

You buy the pass at the visitor center. On a tour, the operator either covers it or adds it as an extra, and that is where the numbers start to differ. The Viator listing of ABC's jeep safari shows "Entrance fee - Arikok National Park $25.00 per person" as an extra, and its combo listing adds that the fee "will be charged upon check in". Budget $25 a head on those two listings, not $22. ABC's own website lists the park entrance as included in its direct price.

What are the Arikok visitor center hours?

The San Fuego visitor center opens daily from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The Vader Piet visitor center opens 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Those are the visitor center hours on ACF's site. They matter most if you drive yourself: the pass is sold at the visitor center, so arrive before it closes. On a tour the operator handles the timing.

If you hike, start early. ACF's own ranger-led hikes cost a $25 guided hike fee, take at most 10 people and suggest start times between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, depending on the trail.

Can you take a UTV or ATV into Arikok National Park?

No. ACF prohibits ATVs, UTVs and motorbikes in its protected nature areas, and Visit Aruba confirms the ban applies in Arikok National Park.

The wording on ACF's page is plain: "all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility task vehicles (UTVs), and motorbikes, are prohibited in protected nature areas". Jeeps, trucks and Land Rovers run by tour operators still go in, and so do horses and hikers.

This is why the popular UTV tours swim somewhere else. Our pick, the 2 to 5 seater UTV tour, stays on the north coast and swims at Andicuri Beach. The ABC UTV and jeep combo is the one UTV tour here that reaches Conchi, and it does so by moving you into a jeep for the park section. Our guide to which UTV tours really reach the Natural Pool sorts out the rest.

What rules apply inside the park?

Keep to 20 km/h (12 mph), stay on park roads, leave rocks, plants and animals alone, and do not fly a drone. Breaking the rules can cost up to $100,000.

The official rules and regulations sign lists them in Papiamento and English. The ones a tour guest runs into:

  • Speed limit 20 km/h (12 mph) on every park road.
  • Stay on park roads and park only in marked spots.
  • No drones. Leave yours at the hotel.
  • No rock stacking, no collecting shells, plants or stones, no disturbing animals.
  • No dogs, cats or other pets, and no metal detectors.
  • Keep quiet and take your litter out with you.

The sign cites AB 2000 no. 59 and fines of up to $100,000. ACF also announced in April 2025 that new rules signs were going up at the entrances and at Quadirikiri Cave, Conchi and Boca Prins, so expect to see the same list at the pool itself.

Which Natural Pool tours include the park fee?

The horseback ride lists the park fee as included, and the De Palm safari marks the Conchi stop as admission included. On Viator, the ABC jeep safari and the ABC combo add $25 per person.

Read the "Not included" line before you compare prices. A $99 per person jeep safari plus a $25 park fee is $124 a head. The ABC combo is $349 per UTV for two, plus $25 per person for the park and a "mandatory insurance of $50" (per vehicle, says ABC's own page), so two people in one UTV pay about $449 in total. The Natural Pool horseback ride at $155 per person lists "National Park fees" among its inclusions, which makes it cheaper than it first looks.

The De Palm self-drive 4x4 safari lists local taxes as included, and its Viator itinerary shows the Conchi stop with "Admission Ticket Included". The UTV-only tours never enter the park, so no park fee applies to them. The full cost picture is in our price guide.

Are UTV rules changing outside the park?

The government's 2024 policy has UTV and ATV caravans reduced to 10 vehicles. In May 2026 an AHATA representative called for tighter rules, and no new legislative proposal followed.

In August 2024 the Ministry of Transport, Integrity, Nature and Elderly Affairs announced a policy to regulate and reduce UTV and ATV use: the vehicles in a caravan were reduced "to just 10", a task force checks compliance with rental rules, and alternative routes are planned "to minimize disturbance in our natural areas".

The debate is still live. In May 2026 Aruba Tourist Channel reported that Tisa LaSorte of the hotel association AHATA called for "restrictions/dedicated areas, and enforcement", and noted that no new official legislative proposal had been announced. On the tours here, drivers still need to be 18 with a valid licence. Our comparison of UTV, ATV and jeep tours covers which vehicle suits whom.

Frequently asked questions

Do children pay to enter Arikok National Park?

No. ACF lists children under 17 as free. Adults pay USD 22 for the conservation day pass.

Where do I buy the Arikok pass?

At the visitor center, according to ACF's rules sign. San Fuego opens 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Vader Piet 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. On a tour, the operator covers it or adds it as an extra.

Why do some tours charge $25 for the park instead of $22?

The Viator listings for ABC's jeep safari and its UTV and jeep combo put the Arikok entrance fee at $25 per person, and the combo collects it at check-in. ACF's own price for an adult day pass is USD 22, and ABC's own website lists park entry as included in its direct price.

Can I drive my rental UTV to the Natural Pool?

No. ATVs, UTVs and motorbikes are prohibited in Arikok National Park. You need a 4x4, a horse or your own feet to reach Conchi.
