Rancho Loco Aruba · Santa Cruz

On horseback to the Natural Pool

Rancho Loco matches you with a horse at its ranch in Santa Cruz, then leads you through Arikok National Park and the hills down to the Natural Pool for about half an hour. It's the quiet way to Conchi: no engine, no dust cloud, and the park fee is already in the price.

Natural Pool Horseback Ride

About this experience

Rancho Loco is a ranch in Santa Cruz. A tour vehicle collects you from the Palm Beach or Eagle Beach hotel area, the guide matches each rider to a horse and explains how to handle it. No riding experience is needed. Then you ride out through Arikok National Park and up into the hills before dropping down to the coast and the Natural Pool.

At $155 per person it costs more than the jeep safari, and the park fee is on its list of inclusions. You get about 30 minutes at the pool; the swim is optional. The weight limit is 220 lb fully clothed, and the listing says it is strictly enforced. Riders 12 and under must wear a helmet.

Two things to know. The sea still decides: one family in August 2026 reached the coast when the waves were rough and missed the pool. And this is a long ride. A guest called it "more intense than the average shore excursion horseback ride", and one couple who had ridden before wrote that it still "took a little toll".

  • Arikok park fee included
  • No riding experience needed; horses matched to you
  • About 30 minutes at the Natural Pool

What guests say

★★★★★

We had never ridden before but it's totally fine for beginners, guide Patrick makes you feel comfortable and makes sure he matches you with a horse that fits your vibe. Riding through the park was amazing and we went swimming through the natural pool.

According to my teenagers, this experience was better than jet ski riding the day before! The guide matched us all perfectly with the horses - we had one anxious teen and one daredevil.
