How many cruise ships visit Aruba from October to December 2026?

Aruba Ports Authority lists 29 calls in October, 51 in November and 65 in December 2026, so traffic more than doubles across the quarter.

The numbers come from the monthly PDFs on the Aruba Ports Authority cruise schedule page, each with a "Total Calls" line at the bottom. The authority adds a warning on every page: the schedule and berth assignments are "strictly provisional and are subject to change without prior notice".

The ships range from big Royal Caribbean and Carnival vessels to small sailing ships like the Royal Clipper. Grandeur of the Seas calls every Tuesday in October, which helps make Tuesday the month's busiest day.

Which days are the busiest for tours?

Days with three or more ships in port. In late 2026 that means three dates in October, seven in November and eleven in December, including Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

We counted the ships per day in the official PDFs, leaving out the Freewinds, which sits in port for several days at a time. In October the weekdays split clearly: 10 calls fall on Tuesdays and 8 on Wednesdays, and Friday has none. November leans on Mondays (13 calls). December spreads out, with 10 or 11 calls each on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.

What that means on the ground: cruise guests want the morning slots of the same tours you want. If your stay overlaps a three-ship day, book that day first or pick a Friday for the tour you care most about.

Which UTV and Natural Pool tours work for cruise passengers?

The 2 to 5 seater UTV tour and the ATV tour both pick up at the cruise terminal. The ABC jeep safari does not accept Carnival Cruise Line passengers.

The 2 to 5 seater UTV tour has a fixed cruise pickup: 8:20 AM for the 9:00 AM slot and 1:50 PM for the afternoon slot, at the corner of the Diamond International store outside the terminal, in front of gate 3. The ATV tour from the same operator uses the same spot and times. Both last 4 hours, which leaves a comfortable gap before most departures.

Check the small print on the rest. The Viator listing of the ABC jeep safari says it "cannot accept passengers from Carnival Cruise ships". The ABC UTV and jeep combo runs 6 hours, which is tight for a ship that leaves at 4:00 PM. The snorkel catamaran has no pickup at all: you check in 30 minutes early on the beach in front of the Hyatt Regency in Palm Beach, so add a taxi each way.

How much time do I need before my ship leaves?

Plan for the tour length plus at least an hour. Several ships this autumn leave at 4:00 PM, which rules out the afternoon slots and squeezes the 6-hour combo.

Most ships on the October to December schedule stay from about 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or later. A handful leave early: Allure of the Seas on 7 October, Carnival Venezia on 14 October, Star Princess on 17 October and Carnival Vista on 4 November all sail at 4:00 PM. Some arrive late, like Carnival Vista on 7 October at 1:00 PM.

The UTV operator gives its cruise pickup times in "Aruba Time". Take the 9:00 AM slot on a short port day, and never book an afternoon tour that ends less than an hour before all aboard.

Has any cruise line dropped Aruba for 2027?

Norwegian Cruise Line took Aruba off Norwegian Prima's 3 February 2027 call, replacing it with a sea day and a stop in St. Maarten, and cited "newly updated port availability".

On 27 June 2026 Noticia CLA reported that Norwegian Prima's seven-night Caribbean cruise from San Juan, departing 31 January 2027, swaps its 3 February Aruba call for a sea day and a stop in St. Maarten. The line pointed to "newly updated port availability". The same article notes that Aruba's cruise port is undergoing a large-scale modernization and waterfront redevelopment project expected to continue over several years.
